CALL TO ORDER-
Mayor Larry Ptacek called the Regular Meeting of the Wilson City Council to order on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Lorie Taylor made a motion to approve the December 3, 2018 agenda. Darcy Hubka-Vopat seconded the motion and it carried.
Cindy Heinze made a motion to approve the November 19, 2018 Regular Meeting minutes. Steve Claussen seconded the motion and it carried.
BILLS AND PAYROLL –
Gary Everett made a motion to approve the December 3, 2018 bills $17,960.36 and December 3, 2018 payroll $10,400.11. Cindy Heinze seconded the motion and it carried.
CITY SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE WITH TED SOUKUP-
· Installed Salt Dogg for salting streets
· Snow removal
CITY CLERK UPDATE WITH SUSAN KRILEY-
· Billed for 2019 Fire Protection
POLICE CHIEF UPDATE WITH BOB DOEPP-
· Presented Nov activities
· Getting computer replacement prices
Cindy Heinze reported that Mr. Major’s class will install the cemetery fence.
Gary Everett reported that Wilson Economic Development Corporation and Smoky Hill Development Corporation met with the private housing developer this morning in Wilson and it looks favorable that he plans to build six three-bedroom houses in Wilson to rent to moderate-low income families. The developer will submit the application in Feb 2019 and could start building as early as Spring 2019.

Larry Ptacek has been working with Daniel Erdman’s local contact regarding the building.
2019 ANNUAL WAGE EVAULATION / COST OF LIVING RAISE -
Tabled until the December 17, 2018 meeting.
OPERA HOUSE UPDATE-
The Wilson Czech Opera House Corporation has been asked to attend a future meeting to report on the progress.
2018 CHRISTMAS GIFT CERTIFICATES-
Cindy Heinze made a motion to approve the following gift certificates- Trey Fink, Jan Shaw, and Jim Soukup - $25; Janiece Kornmeyer, Cathy Smith, and Jonathan Lawrence- $50; Darrell Thrasher, Bob Doepp, Susan Kriley, Ted Soukup, Marty Prester, and Theresa Staudinger- $100 and the City will pay the employee social security and medicare for the employee gift certificates of $100. Lorie Taylor seconded the motion.
BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD REIMBURSEMENT TO BOB DOEPP -
Under Bob’s suggestion, Gary Everett made a motion to keep Bob Doepp’s BCBS reimbursement the same as 2018 ($178.12 each payroll) even though the 2019 rate has increased. Darcy Hubka-Vopat seconded the motion and it carried.
